About Me
My name is Noah DeYager. I started as the Middle School Principal here at Rock Valley during the 2020-21 school year. Prior to administrative work, I taught middle/high school business and technology here at Rock Valley for two years and at South O'Brien in Paullina, IA for nine years. I coached boys golf at both schools for a total of nine years. Before I began teaching I worked in a few different businesses in sales and marketing roles. The majority of my prior work experience comes from my family’s business at the Foreign Candy Company in Hull, Ia. Most recently, my title was Fundraising Marketing Manager. However, I worked in nearly every department of the company since I was 17. After a few years leading youth group at my church, I felt the call to become an educator. So I went back to school and obtained my teaching license. I love the every-day excitement and energy that comes with working in school. Each day we have the opportunity to positively impact kids. I earned a BA in Business Administration in 2005, a BA in Secondary Education in 2009, and an MA in School Leadership in 2016 all from Dordt University.
I’ve been happily married to my wife, Susan since 2005. I have three children; Talan, Ashton, and Mylee. My family is very important to me. They encourage and support me everyday. Without my wife’s encouragement, I’m not certain I would have realized my passion for working with young people. My children bring excitement to my life and make me smile everyday.
